Frequently asked questions about the GLA:D® program
GLA:D® Australia is suitable for all individuals who experience any hip and/or knee pain or symptoms of osteoarthritis, regardless of severity. It's designed for people looking for non-surgical options to manage their condition.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercising, including appropriate supportive footwear. Bring a towel and drink bottle to each session.
The complete program consists of an initial assessment, 2 education sessions, and 12 exercise sessions over 6 weeks (twice weekly). A 3-month follow-up consultation is also included to track your progress.
Once you have completed the GLA:D® Program you can keep the momentum going with the Post GLA:D® Program Membership. Continue to receive support and advice from your GLA:D® instructor.
We require 12 hours' notice if you are unable to attend your session. Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations.
Yes, private health rebates are available from health funds where Exercise Physiology is included. Contact your health fund to confirm your coverage.
No, the program is designed for people at all stages of osteoarthritis. Early intervention can help prevent progression and maintain function. You don't need to wait until symptoms are severe.

Frequently asked questions about our Reformer Pilates Group Classes
No. Beginners are welcome, and our instructors will help you learn how to use the Reformer safely and confidently. However, if you are a little anxious about attending your first ever class, you are welcome to book a private half hour Introductory Class so you know what to expect before you join a group class.
Your do not have to be flexible to start. Partaking in regular Reformer Pilates will help you gradually improve your strength, mobility, balance, posture and body awareness.
The Reformer Pilates group Classes are excellent for maintaining and improving general fitness.
However, if you have an injury or health condition, we may recommend an initial assessment or Clinical Pilates instead of a general group class. Exercises can be modified to suit many injuries, medical conditions and physical abilities
Wear comfortable, fitted exercise clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are recommended for hygiene and safety. It is also ideal to bring a drink bottle to your session.
Private health rebates are not available for group Reformer Pilates classes. However, they are offered for personalised clinical Pilates sessions by health funds where Exercise Physiology is included. Contact your health fund to confirm your coverage.
Consistency produces the best results. Many clients attend once or twice each week, depending on their goals, availability and other activities.
