Frequently Asked Questions

An AEP is a university-qualified allied health professional who specialises in clinical exercise interventions for people with chronic conditions, injuries, or complex health needs. They complete a minimum 4-year degree and maintain strict accreditation standards through Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Yes! If you have a chronic condition and a GP Management Plan (GPMP) or Team Care Arrangements (TCA), you may be eligible for Medicare rebates on up to 5 Exercise Physiology sessions per calendar year. People with Type 2 Diabetes may be eligible for up to 8 group sessions per year.

Absolutely. We're registered providers for DVA (Gold and White card holders), Workcover, and TAC (Transport Accident Commission). You'll need a valid referral from your case manager or treating physician.

We require 12 hours' notice if you are unable to attend your session. Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations.

While both professions help with rehabilitation, Exercise Physiologists focus specifically on using exercise as medicine. We design long-term exercise programs for chronic disease management, whereas physiotherapists often focus on acute injury treatment and manual therapy.

Yes, we offer telehealth Exercise Physiology sessions for those who prefer remote consultations or are unable to attend in person. These are ideal for program reviews, home exercise guidance, and ongoing support.
